The APC was incorporated in the month of August 2014 and the CIN number of Company is U01400AP2014PTC095153.The main thrust of the Cheyutha is to carry on the business of production, procurement, marketing, processing, storage, bottling, packing, marketing and trading of all agricultural, horticultural, vegetables, medicinal, spices crops, handicrafts, animal husbandry and its allied activities, poultry, dairy, bulk milks cooling centers, goat-keeping, Beekeeping and trading of all Agro inputs like seeds, Manure, fertilizers, pesticides, farm machinery and farm tools etc. to undertake organic production programme processing and certification, export & trade business (as per national and international norms and standards) of all agricultural, Horticultural Vegetables crops and dairy products their allied forms, by the members of the company.

Capital of the firm:

Total authorised shares are 4,000 and each costs Rs.1000/-. So far we have issued 1096 shares and paid capital is Rs.10,96,000/- The BOD are 7 members and they also become shareholders. The BOD owns 400, another 250 are owned by the promoting shareholders and the remaining 446 are given to Farmers.

Activities taken up by APC:

The Chilli growing farmers are facing many problems and no efforts were made so far to address the issues and to promote value chain management in chilli production. Considering this the Cheyutha Agriculture ProdcuerCompnay Ltd is planning to take up a special project to address the various issues being faced by the chilli farmers by adopting Integrated Crop Management practices. The Cheyutha APC has taken up IPM project in 7 villages covering 250 farmers in the year 2014-15.

  • •   The Cheyutha has conducted a study with the support of EFFORT to assess the situation of chilli farmers and to find out the different issues being faced by the chilli farmers at different stages right from seed procurement to marketing the produce.
  • •   Conducted variety of sensitisaiton programmes to enlighten farmers on the consequences of excessive use of chemical pesticides and importance of IPM
  • •   Conducted training camps on IPM/ IDM for 250 farmers and their skills and knowledge on IPM methods have improved a lot
  • •   Conducted 250 acres of IPM demo plots covering 7 villages and the farmers were fully convinced with IPM practices. They have adopted all the IPM methods in cultivating the chilli
  • •   The farmers have produced IPM Chilli and the yield per acre is 25 to 30 quintals
  • •   Developed linkages with the exporter and sold IPM chilli directly to the exporters. The exporter have paid Rs.500 premium price than the market price for IPM chilli
  • •   Initiated Agri input Centre at Yammiganuru of Kurnool district to support its members. The fertilisers, Pesticides and seed are supplied to the members.
