The Spporthy Chilli Producers Company Ltd is promoted by EFFORT with the support of NABARD. It is having its base at Edlapadu of Guntur District. It is The Farmer Producer Orgnisation on Chilli is promoted in Edlapadu Mandal of Guntur District. “Spoorthy Chilli Producers Company Ltd” which will be the base for promotion of sustainable livelihoods of Chilli farmers. The APC was incorporated in the month of 12th August 2015 and the CIN number of Company is U01403AP2015PTC097162.

Main thrust of the Spoorthy:

To carry on the business of production, procurement, marketing, processing, storage, bottling, packing, marketing and trading of all agricultural like chillis, red chillis, green chillis, white chillis, non-agricultural horticultural and their cultivation, vegetables, medicinal, spices, crops, handicrafts, animal husbandry, floriculture, tissuculture, green houses, net houses, red houses, medicinal plants, herbal plants, and its allied activities, poultry, apiculture, sericulture, dairy, bulk milk cooling centers for the benefit of the members & non Members, producers of the Company.

The following are some the activities taken up by Spoorthy PC

• •   400 members have become shareholders of the PC and mobilised an amount of Rs.80,000/- as paid up share capital
• •   The PC conducted IPM training camps in 9 villages covering 400 chilli farmers.
• •   50 Chilli farmers are adopting IPM practices in Chilli cultivation during the year 2016-17
• •   Conducted 3 training camps for BOD members of Producers Company
• •   The CEO also trained on the functioning of FPO
• •   The BOD members have gone for the exposure visit to Prakasam district where IPM in Chilli is cultivated.
• •   10 farmers have attended training camp on Zero Budget Natural Farming organised by the Department of Agriculture.
